Call for Proposals - Support for information measures relating to the Common Agricultural Policy - CAP 2010 CAP Closed!


This is a call for proposals for funding information measures within the meaning of Article 3 of Council Regulation (EC) Nº 814/2000 from appropriations in the 2011 budget. This call for proposals concerns information measures to be imple­mented (including preparation, implementation, follow-up and evaluation)


Under this call for proposals the Commission wishes to give priority to measures aimed at:

(a) explaining, debating with the general public and specifically young city dwellers and promoting the role and usefulness of a strong, sustainable and balanced policy, which is defined and conducted at EU level (CAP) and which:

  • Maintains production capacity in order to ensure food security,
  • Facilitates land-use planning,
  • Promotes socio-economic dynamism in rural areas,
  • Preserves the countryside, our rural heritage, nature and biodiversity
  • Responds to the challenges linked to climate change;

(b) studying and debating the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) guidelines with the stakeholders from the agricultural sector, the rest of the food supply chain and rural areas and climate change.

(c) discussing EU policy concerning the quality of agricultural products.


Under this call for proposals the Commission wishes to receive applications for the following types of information measures:

  • TV and radio programmes (such as documentaries, talk shows, etc).
  • Visual, audio and audiovisual productions and their distribution.
  • Actions targeting schools and universities.
  • Conferences, seminars and workshops (including mobile ones), especially in rural areas.
  • Exchange information visits, especially between old and new Member States.
  • Information stands at agricultural fairs.
  • Information campaigns, comprising several types of the above mentioned type of information measures.
  • Other types of information measures, such as publications and web portals will only be considered if they are executed in one of the languages of the 12 new Member States.


European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 3,25 Million EUR (Annual budget for 2011)
