Call for Proposals under 2009 Cooperation work programme of FP7, Theme 4 – NMP – CSAs FP7-NMP-2009-CSA-3 Closed!


Notice is given of the launch of Call for Proposals FP7-NMP-2009-CSA-3 under the 2009 Cooperation work programmes of the 7th EC Framework Programme of the European Community for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities (2007 to 2013), within theme 4 “Nano-sciences, Nano-technologies, Materials and New Production Technologies”, whose main objective is to improve competitiveness of European industry and generate knowledge to ensure its transformation from a resource-intensive to a knowledge-intensive industry, by generating step changes in knowledge and implementing decisive knowledge for new applications at the crossroads between different technologies and disciplines.


This funding scheme allows for two different types of actions to be financed:

  • Co-ordination (or networking) actions aimed at coordinating research activities and policies.
  • Support actions aimed at contributing to the implementation of the Framework Programmes and the preparation of future Community research and technological development policy or the development of synergies with other policies, or to stimulate, encourage and facilitate the participation of SMEs, civil society organisations and their networks, small research teams and newly developed or remote research centres in the activities of the thematic areas of the Cooperation programme. Support actions normally focus on one specific activity and often one specific event.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 5,00 Million EUR (Annual budget for 2009)
