The Commission publishes two new calls for proposals on MEDIA programme


The European Commission has published two calls for proposals in the Official Journal of the EU with a total budget of 10 million. The calls relate, first, to support the development of production projects, and secondly, to support the development of interactive works on platforms online or offline


 The European Commission has published in the Official Journal of September 26th two calls within the Media programme 2007, the programme of support for the European audiovisual sector.

The Call EACEA 20/2009 includes the following development activities for the following audiovisual works

  • Drama projects intended for commercial exploitation of no less than 50 minutes.
  • Creative documentaries intended for commercial exploitation of no less than 25 minutes (duration per episode in case of series).
  • Animation projects intended for commercial exploitation of no less than 24 minutes.

The deadline for submitting applications for this project ends on April 12, 2010, and it has a budget of 2 million.

For its part, the Call 21/2009 EACEA support the development of interactive works on platforms, online or offline. It funds the  concept development of interactive digital complementing an audiovisual project developed for platforms such as PC, internet, console ...

The budget for this call is 17 million, and the deadline for submitting applications also ends on 12 April 2010.
