The three films short-listed for the European Parliament's LUX Film Prize will be shown during the autumn of 2011 in all member states and subtitled in 23 languages. It is the first time that finalists are to be pre-screened before jury's decision since the Prize was launched in 2007.

The LUX Film Days will be the occasion for the three finalists of the European Parliament's LUX Film Prize to be shown in all EU member states. The films "Csak to szél" by Bence Fliegauf, "Io sono Li" by Andrea Segre, and "Tabu" by Miguel Gomes will be screened in theatres throughout Europe subtitled in 23 languages. The LUX Film Days will take place in 35 cities across Europe.

The main objective of the LUX Film Days is not only bringing the prize finalists closer to the public, but also to serve as element for mutual exchange of cultural diversity of European cinema by reaching the greatest number of citizens. In order to do this, the shows will be followed by a debate in the room and on-line, where the public will be able to discuss the films with MEPs, representatives of NGOs, cultural institutions and civil society members.

The winner of the LUX Film Prize whose last winner was the film "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" by the the French Robert Guédiguian, will be announced on November 21st. The public will also have the opportunity to watch the trailers of the films and vote for its favourite one in the Public Mention through the Facebook page of the LUX Film Prize.
