Call for proposals for the award of a financial contribution for joint actions “Health – 2009” - JOINT ACTIONS Closed!

Objectives

Executive Agency for Health and Consumers has published a Call for Proposals inviting Member States and participating countries for submission of proposals to fund joint actions under the Second Programme of Community action in the field of health (2008-2013), in accordance with the 2009 Work Plan.

The second Health Programme is intended to complement, support and add value to the  policies of the Member States and contribute to increased solidarity and prosperity in the European Union. The Programme's objectives are:

  • To improve citizens' health security.
  • To promote health, including the reduction of health inequalities.
  • To generate and disseminate health information and knowledge.

Actions

Joint actions can be proposed by the Community and one or more Member States or by the Community and the competent authorities of other countries participating in the Programme.

  • Joint Action on the safety of nanomaterials.
  • Healthy lifestyles media campaign targeting young people, aiming at empowering them in choosing healthy lifestyle options.
  • Building on the expertise already developed in the field of health technology assessment, ensure the continuation and development of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in the EU, including work on relative effectiveness (RE) of drugs.
  • Joint Action for the implementation of the pilot European Health Examination Survey.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 7,24 Million EUR (Annual budget for 2009)

Organisations eligible to participate

Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:

  • Public authorities (all)
  • Non-governmental organization
  • Universities
  • Non profit organisations

Covered areas

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:

  • European Union (EU)
  • Third countries
  • European Free Trade Association (EFTA)
  • European Economic Area (EEA)
  • Candidate Countries
