Call for proposals - Policy Dialogues EU - Gulf Cooperation Council FPI.4/2012/GCC Closed!

Objectives

This Call for Proposals aims to support the implementation of the EU-GCC Joint Action Programme and, more generally, to strengthen EU-GCC policy dialogue and relations on matters of shared interest in order to develop common, collective approaches and responses to key policy challenges such as the ones identified in the JAP.

Specific objectives are:

  • to promote exchanges of information and dissemination of expertise between political, economic and social partners, together with other civil society and non-state players;
  • to test new ideas with different players and provide feedback to the Commission.

In particular, the Commission is inviting proposals on Transport: Policy discussions, exchange of technical expertise and business models to promote sustainable, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly transport co-modality, i.e. an optimal combination of various modes of transport within the same transport chain.

Actions

Each project must include the following:

  • Comparative analysis of current EU and GCC policy towards the problem at hand; a conference involving the research, the policy communities and business operators on both sides; the conference findings should be made available on the internet;
  • Publication of the projects’ findings and recommendations in ways easily accessible for policy makers (both a web version and a printed version will be required).

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 0,20 Million EUR (Global Budget)

Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:

  • Public authorities (all)
  • Enterprises
  • Non-governmental organization
  • Universities
  • Training organisations (not university)
  • Any legal organisation

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:
