Call for proposals - Promotion of electric vehicles technologies 29/G/ENT/CIP/12/C/N05S00 Closed!

The general objective of the call is to raise the level of social awareness about the high performance of electric vehicles and the benefits of their utilisation, whilst addressing specific aspects that may have created a certain degree of public reluctance about the purchase of vehicles based on electric powertrains. In consequence, the submitted proposals should show capability of drawing public attention, and should demonstrate to be able to treat the theme of electro-mobility in such a way that potential consumers are able to make a well-informed opinion on electric cars.

The applicants may participate in the two lots by submitting a proposal for each lot separately.

Lot 1: Complete construction of an electric car designed for competition: the objective is to build a vehicle which performance is as close as possible to a car of similar characteristics, running on a conventional fuel.

Lot 2: Organisation of a demonstration event with the presence of the electric car built for lot 1. In order to measure the impact of the action in the society, a certain number of indicators may be proposed, and at least the following ones:

  • Number of participants attending the demonstration event.
  • Media coverage of the demonstration event (number of press articles);
  • Degree to which the technologies embedded in the electric racing car are taken up by the market (share of the components available for mass production electric vehicles).
