Objectives
The general objective of the Lifelong Learning Programme is to contribute through lifelong learning to the development of the Community as an advanced knowledge-based society. In particular, it aims to foster interchange, cooperation and mobility between education and
training systems within the Community so that they become a world quality reference. The Grundtvig programme aim in particular to:
- Respond to the educational challenge of an ageing population in Europe.
- Help provide adults with pathways to improving their knowledge and competences.
Actions
The following actions may be supported by the Grundtvig programme:
- Mobility of individuals
- Partnerships
- Multilateral projects
- Thematic networks of experts and organisations
- Other initiatives aimed at promoting the objectives of the Grundtvig programme

The Community provisional funding available for the programme is:
- 278,80 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
