Objectives

The general objective of the Lifelong Learning Programme is to contribute through lifelong learning to the development of the Community as an advanced knowledge-based society. In particular, it aims to foster interchange, cooperation and mobility between education and
training systems within the Community so that they become a world quality reference. The Grundtvig programme aim in particular to:

  • Respond to the educational challenge of an ageing population in Europe.
  • Help provide adults with pathways to improving their knowledge and competences.

Actions

The following actions may be supported by the Grundtvig programme:

  • Mobility of individuals
  • Partnerships
  • Multilateral projects
  • Thematic networks of experts and organisations
  • Other initiatives aimed at promoting the objectives of the Grundtvig programme

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the programme is:

  • 278,80 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
