New Administrative cooperation between New Zealand and EC

In the Official Journal of the European Union, the Commission published a notice relating to the establishment of the Administrative Cooperation between New Zealand and the European Community. The Official text was published on the 23rd of May 2008.

In its notice, the Commission confirmed that by April 14 2008, all the necessary formal arrangements have been made in order to start the cooperation. The Commission declared that New Zealand has sent it all the relevant information on checking operations (examples of certificates of conformity, specimens of the stamp imprints, names and signatures of authorised inspectors) under the administrative cooperation and therefore the cooperation was considered established.

This comes a month after the Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the European Community and New Zealand in April.
