A communication was published on the 22nd of April 2008, from the European Commission (EC), the European Parliment, the Council the European Economic and  SOcail Committee of the regions on on the protection of consumers, in particular minors, in respect of the use of video games.

The European Commission have published their official report, on the 24th April 2008, to the European Parliment, the Council and the European Court of Auditors concerning the Financial Management of the 7th-9th European Development Funds (EDFs) in 2007.

The demands for and costs of long-term care provision in the EU will rise significantly by 2050, according to a new report presented by the European Commission. The European Commission has given notice of the launch of the call for proposals under the work programme for 2008 of the Information and Communication Technologies Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (2007 to 2013). The Call has an allotted 39 million euros.

On 7 April 2008, the Commission decided not to oppose the above notified concentration and to declare it compatible with the common market.
