The European Commission is organising information days on the upcoming calls for proposals under the Transport Theme of the Seventh Framework Programme on 28 and 29 September in Brussels, Belgium. The latest call for proposals under the Transport Theme were published in July, and they are related to air transport, trans-European transport and sustainable surface transport.

Brussels will host on 28-29th September a two-day event aiming to inform potential researchers about FP7 and the new Transport calls for proposals. Details will also be given on the main legal and procedural conditions and Commission representatives will respond to participants' questions. Attendees will also have the chance to network with potential project partners.

The first day will focus on the 'Sustainable surface transport' call and will feature major presentations on the Green Cars Initiative, an important new action now being launched by the European Commission. Day two will be dedicated to the aeronautics and air transport call.

The latest round of Transport calls for proposals was published at the end of July 2009.
