5th Summit of Europe's Regions and Cities will be celebrated in Copenhagen
The Committee of the Regions opens the application time for its 5th Summit of Europe's Regions and Cities. Regional and local authorities, associations and other organisations are invited to apply for participation in this exhibition by sending projects before 7 November. The Summit of Europe's Regions and Cities will take place on 22 and 23 March 2012 in Copenhagen (Denmark).
The 5th Summit of Europe's Regions and Cities will be organised on 22 and 23 March 2012 in Copenhagen. On this occasion, an exhibition titled “Beautiful, Green, Smart and Inclusive: Colourful Cities" will showcase best practice in urban development. Thus, the Committe of the Regions opens the time for applications and invites regional and local authorities, associations and other organisations to participate in this exhibition by sending your project(s) before 7 November.
A total of about 30 stands will be organised along these themes:
- The 'Beautiful City' will concentrate on projects linked to architecture and town planning.
- The 'Green City' will focus on energy efficiency, transport solutions and sustainable urban/regional development
- The 'Smart City' will showcase innovation projects and smart specialisation strategies
- The 'Inclusive City' will promote social innovation, employment and creative solutions to social services.
The exhibition will be brought to the CoR in Brussels after the main event. The Committee of the Regions organises its 5th Summit of Europe's Regions and Cities on 22 and 23 March 2012 in Copenhagen, in partnership with the City of Copenhagen and the Capital Region of Denmark.
