    1.

    The Government of the Republic of Malawi received a credit/grant from the European Investment Bank and European Union (towards the cost of the second National Water Development Project (NWDP II) and it intends to apply part of the financing for eligible payment for Supply and Delivery of Pipes, Pipe Fittings, Water Meters and Miscellaneous Materials for Low Income Areas of Lilongwe City

    Lilongwe Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply and delivery of

    LOT 1: Transmission Mains Flow Meters

    LOT 2: Central Zone Distribution Mains Flow Meters

    LOT 3: Northern Zone Distribution Mains Flow Meters

    LOT 4: Southern Zone Distribution Mains Flow Meters

    3.

    Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World's Bank Guideline's: Procurement of Goods, works and non consulting services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011; and is open to all Suppliers/bidders from eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

    A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of written application to the above upon payment of non refundable fee of 10,000 MK. The method of payment will be cash or Bank certified cheque at the Lilongwe Water Board Cash Office.

    6.

    Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety days (90) after bid opening and must be accompanied by Security of not less than one percent (1%) of the bid price.

    7.

    Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14:30 hours on 12th September, 2012.

    8.

    Bid documents can be obtained during working hours from Monday, 13th August, 2012.

    9.
