    RCUK SSC Ltd as the Contracting Authority is putting in place a contract for the purchase of replacement liquid chilling units for use by or on behalf of UK bodies.

    These bodies include but are not limited to The Science and Technology Facilities Council, The Medical Research Council, The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, The Economic and Social Research Council, The Natural Environment Research Council, The Arts and Humanities Research Council, The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, The RCUK Shared Services Centre Ltd, Central Government Departments and their Agencies, Non Departmental Public Bodies, NHS bodies, Local Authorities, Voluntary Sector Charities, and/or other private organisations acting as managing agents or procuring on behalf of these UK bodies.     Replaces OJEU 2012/S 123-203249 as amendment to specification.

    The purchase of the 3X replacement liquid chilling units. Delivery to kerbside.

    Each chilling unit shall be suitable for R134A and shall comprise a packaged composite dual circuit model with 4 No. variable speed control Magnetic Bearing centrifugal serviceable oil free compressors (or alternatively positive displacement compressors in lieu of centrifugal), shell and tube flooded evaporator, air cooled condensers with 20 EC variable speed axial flow fans (or more) providing head pressure set point management, refrigerant liquid circuit inline PHX economisers, refrigerant piping, valves, safety devices and motor/starter control panel complete with all automatic controls, electrical wiring and instruments etc. Overall dimensions to suit site restraints. The unit operating weight to be agreed.
