The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to strengthen the livelihood systems of the most food insecure and consolidate their path to more sustainable economic development.

The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals are:

• To improve resilience for targeted rural/ urban livelihoods;
• To strengthen individual and collective coping mechanisms for vulnerable groups.

Actions directed towards the chronically food insecure, the most marginalized and/or towards groups at risk of falling into food insecurity will be considered a priority for support.

Types of activity

• The consolidation of individual and collective coping mechanisms which can lead to a substantial improvement of the food security status of the populations targeted.
• The identification of any potential risk threatening the food security status of the individuals/groups supported, and relevant mitigation measures for improving the resilience of the livelihood systems considered
• Innovative actions in urban settings including the consolidation of food security activities and the analysis of the causes and dynamics of food insecurity in this specific context
• The establishment of bridges between post-humanitarian crisis situations/critical food security contexts and longer term development schemes.

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

• Orientation of the budget: 5.13 M€
