Objectives
The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to strengthen capacities of local authorities (Akimats) of the three Oblasts (Regions) of Mangystau, Kyzylorda, East-Kazakhstan to enhance the social and economic development of the oblast, in particular focussing on vulnerable groups.
The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals are:
- Promotion of innovative local development initiatives in the three pilot oblasts
- Strengthen the capacities of local development actors for planning, implementing, monitoring of local development policies, in particular focusing on vulnerable groups and including: a) social disparities, b) rural development, c) environmental problems, d) quality of service's delivery, e) public awareness; f) citizens participation to public life within the Pilot Regions; g) regional institutional capacities; h) urbanization-ruralisation process
- Exchange know-how with local authorities from EU countries,
- Exchange know-how, best practices, and capitalization of lessons among pilot oblasts
- Increase opportunities for the involvement of civil society actors in local/regional policies
Actions
Proposed actions should focus on building of capacities of local development actors for planning, implementing, monitoring of local development policies, in particular focusing on vulnerable groups and including: a) social disparities, b) rural development, c) environmental problems, d) quality of service's delivery, e) public awareness; f) citizens participation to public life within the Pilot Regions; g) regional institutional capacities; h) urbanization-ruralisation process.
European community funding
The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
- 1,05 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)
