JEAN MONNET Programme in the field of lifelong learning

description and objectives

The call for proposal aims at the selection of organisations for the conclusion of annual operating grant agreements covering the budget year 2013. The purpose of this call for proposals is to support European associations in the fields of education and training active in European integration subjects, and/or pursuing the objectives of the European education and training policy.

In the implementation of key activity 3 of the Jean Monnet programme, the specific objectives of this call for proposals are:

• to support high-quality European associations contributing to increasing knowledge and awareness on the European integration process through education and training,
• to support high-quality European associations contributing to the implementation of at least one of the strategic objectives of the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (‘ET 2020’).

The activities of the proposed work programme must contribute to increasing knowledge and awareness on the European integration process through education and training, and/or the implementation of at least one of the following strategic objectives of ‘ET 2020’:

1. making lifelong learning and mobility a reality;
2. improving the quality and efficiency of education and training;
3. promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship;
4. enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training.

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:

• European Union (EU)
• European Economic Area (EEA)
• Candidate Countries
• Third countries

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

• Orientation of the budget: 0.75 M€
