Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance

description and objectives

The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to contribute to better information of Albanian citizens on EU policies and their relevance for their daily life as well as for the EU perspective of the country as such.

The specific objectives of this Call for Proposals are:

• To increase the number of quality TV programmes about EU policies produced and broadcast in Albania.
• To stimulate an informed public debate in the country about the benefits and challenges of EU integration process
• To contribute to raising citizen’s awareness of the importance of EU external assistance in Albania.
• To enhance the position of independent media and standards of television production through partnership building, exchange of programmes and flow of information.

The TV Programmes must treated in order to:

• emphasise the EU' s commitment to the European perspective of Albania
• promote concrete results of EU pre-accession assistance in Albania
• improve understanding about the EU enlargement process, its requirements and the benefits it brings for Albanian citizens
• inform Albanian citizens about the EU and its policies.

Projects should contribute to raising the awareness of Albanian citizens on the importance of EU integration process of Albania. Also, it should contribute to educating Albanian citizens on EU values and better understanding of EU policies.

• Candidate Countries
• Third countries

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

• Orientation of the budget: 0.05 M€
