Objectives

The global objective of this call for proposals is to improve environmental governance in China through enhanced governmental function, public participation and corporate responsibility at the local level.

The specific objective of this call for proposals is to enable the development of Partnerships Projects (PPs) that will focus on local actions, build on local experience and showcase good practices of environmental governance at the local level across China.

Actions

The Call for Proposal has been structured into the following four lots corresponding to the four core themes of the EGP:

  1. Lot 1: Public access to environmental information.
  2. Lot 2: Public participation/consultation in environmental decision making.
  3. Lot 3: Access to justice in environmental matters.
  4. Lot 4: Proactive engagement of the private sector in sustainable practices.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 11,25 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)

  • 03 January 2012 - 12 years ago (Deadline for the presentation of proposals)
  • 14 May 2012 - 11 years ago (Deadline for the presentation of proposals)

Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:

  • Public authorities (all)

Covered areas

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:

  • European Union (EU)
  • European Economic Area (EEA)
  • Candidate Countries
