    description and objectives

    This call for proposals is part of a Pilot Project which intends to support SMEs that operate across borders in the enforcement of outstanding claims. The Pilot Project aims:

    1. to help SMEs to optimise their business procedures by improving information access and dissemination in the area of claims management instruments and options.
    2. to improve the use, understanding and awareness of SMEs of the available legal instruments for the cross-border enforcement of claims (e.g. European payment order, European small claims procedures, European Enforcement Orders for uncontested claims, Brussels I Regulation etc.).

    The specific objective of this call is to obtain and select proposals for actions that would be financially supported by the European Commission. These actions consist of the organisation of seminars throughout Europe, e.g. via the networks of chambers of commerce and industry or other non-profit facilities engaged in business promotion.

    These seminars should take place in the Member States in their official languages, on one or more of the following subjects:

    • Credit management in practice for cross-border transactions within the EU
    • Legal action for the enforcement of outstanding claims in intra-EU trade
    organisations eligible to participate
    Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:
    • Public authorities (all)

    Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:
    • European Union (EU)
    • European Economic Area (EEA)
    • Candidate Countries

    The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
    • Global Budget: 0.85 M€
