Call for proposals on road safety MOVE/SUB/01-2011 Closed!

Objectives

The general objective of this call is collecting and processing of all types of information required for the analysis, definition, promotion, monitoring, evaluation and implementation of the measures and rules needed to improve road safety. The activities in question include studies, demonstration activities and the sharing of best practice to help implement the policy orientations on road safety for 2011–2020 set out in the Commission Communication 'Towards a European road safety area' – COM (2010) 389 final and, in particular, projects and studies focusing on defining measures to be taken to reduce the seriousness of injuries from road accidents under Objective 6 of the political orientations (‘Improve emergency and post-injuries services’); and the creation of networks for sharing best practice in the field.

Note: The deadline for this call of proposals has been extended until 15 October 2011.

Actions

The elegible actions must be under one of the following points:

  • Innovative concepts or sharing of best practice for reducing the seriousness of injuries and organising first aid (including technologies associated with the implementation of the eCall system).
  • Analysis of the relationship between the dynamics of the accident and the injuries sustained, broken down by category of user (age, gender and biomechanical typology); impact of the injuries on the quality of life of those injured.
  • Analysis of the socio-economic impact of road injuries.
  • Analysis of the effectiveness of passive safety systems as regards the seriousness of injuries and their healing.

European community funding

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

  • 1,00 Million EUR (Global Budget)
