The European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, is hereby launching a call for proposals in order to award grants to projects in accordance with the priorities and objectives defined in the annual work programme for grants in the field of the Trans-European Transport Network for 2009.

In particular, this call for proposals aims to complement the efforts developed in the multi-annual work programme in supporting modern transport infrastructures which enable people and goods to move between Member States faster and more easily, as well as add to the overall competitiveness of the EU.

• Priority 1. Promote the development of an integrated and environmentally friendly transport system,
• Priority 2. Acceleration/facilitation of the implementation of TEN-T projects.
• Priority 3. Increase the involvement of the private sector in the development and financing of EU-supported transport infrastructure projects, notably through the implementation of public-private partnerships (PPPs).

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:
