The general objectives of the programme and of this call are to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the European Union and Canada including broader knowledge of their languages, cultures and institutions and to improve the quality of human resources in the European Union and Canada.

There is only one type of action under this call, namely the EU-Canada Joint Study and/or Training Programmes. This action provides support to enable EU-Canada consortia of higher education institutions and training institutions, “Transatlantic Exchange Partnerships” (TEP) to carry out joint study and training programmes and to implement student and faculty mobility.

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

• 1,10 Million EUR (Orientation of the budget)

• 08 May 2009 - 15 years ago (Deadline for the presentation of proposals)

Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:

• Universities

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:
