eParticipation is a Preparatory Action which aims at harnessing the benefits of the use of Information and Communications Technologies for better legislative and decision-making processes and enhanced public participation in such processes, at all levels of governmental decision making. Pursuant to the eParticipation Work Programme 2008, the Commission hereby invites consortia to submit proposals.

In this context proposals should address focused activities in one or more of the following five areas:

• Transparency in tracking legislation and decision-making processes.
• Visualisation of impacts of legislation.
• Policy developments related to the Internet and its governance.
• Petitions.
• Inclusive social networking

Opened to the following bodies or institutes with legal status established in the covered areas:

• Public authorities (all)

Bodies or institutes must have their registered legal seat in one of the countries taking part in the Programme which are:

• European Union (EU)
• European Economic Area (EEA)
• Candidate Countries

The Community provisional funding available for the call for proposals is:

• Annual budget for 2008: 4.70 M€
