Objectives
The Commission hereby invites scientific, professional, industrial and general research institutions and learned societies and other organisations with an active interest in the performance of research and technological development (RTD) to submit lists of proposed independent experts.

Actions
The Commission will appoint independent experts:
- To assist in the evaluation of proposals in line with the various scientific, technological and socioeconomic aims of the Seventh Framework Programme.
- To assist in the monitoring of projects selected and funded by the Community, including, where necessary and as appropriate, the monitoring of projects funded by the Community under previous RTD framework programmes.
- For other purposes where specific expertise might be required.
