This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project which was published on EBRD's website "Procurement Opportunities" on 13 October 2008 and updated 13 July 2010.

Bosnia and Herzegovina signed loan agreements with European Investment Bank (hereinafter EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (hereinafter EBRD) to finance priority sections of motorway on the route of Pan European Corridor 5c through Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will use these loans for payments of the works and consulting services to be procured under this project of construction of priority sections which includes, inter alia, section Počitelj-Southern Border with Croatia (Bijača).

Construction of section Počitelj - Bijača in total length of 21,255 km, has been divided into four contracts as folow:

Contracts No.FEDA-140-B17-10: Subsection Kravice-Bijača, length of 4,06 km, will be financed by the loan signed with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)

Contracts No.FEDA-141-B18-10: Subsection Zvirovići-Kravice, length 5,00 km, will be financed by the loan signed with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)

Contracts No.3 FEDA: Subsection Počitelj-Zvirovići, length 9,98 km, and

Contracts No.4 FEDA: Bridge Počitelj, length 1016 m,

The subject of this Invitation for prequalification is Contract No.FEDA-140-B17-10 only.

The Federal Directorate for construction, managing and maintenance of highways (hereinafter FEDA) on behalf of the Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: Employer) intends to apply the proceeds of the loans from EBRD [the Bank] towards the cost of Construction of motorway on Corridor 5c, section Počitelj-Bijača, subsection Kravice-Bijača (hereinafter the Project).

The Employer intends to pre-qualify firms and joint ventures to tender for the contract to be funded from the proceeds of the loans.

This contract consists of the construction of the subsection of motorway between Kravice and Bijača which will start from resting place Kravice and it will finish on southern Border with Croatia in village Bijača, after the Border crossing.

Subsection Kravice-Bijača is 4,06 km long (from cross-section km 16+000 to the km 21+255), excluding border crossing facility (from km 19+940 to km 21 + 105) which is the subject of another contract.

Construction of this subsection route, one overpass, three underpasses, interchange "Zvirići", frontal toll station "Zvirići" and Center for maintenance and traffic control.

Construction period is 10 months.

Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the loans from the Banks is open to firms and joint ventures from any country.

Payment option is OUR which means that the Applicant will cover all Bank costs related to this payment and money transfer.

If requested, the documents will be promptly dispatched by courier, but no liability can be accepted for loss or late delivery.
